Review Agencies

Any proposed LNG facility in the United States is required to undergo a comprehensive and rigorous review by several federal, state and local agencies before construction and operations are allowed to begin.

Although the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has primary jurisdiction over the siting, construction and operation of LNG facilities, several other federal, state and local agencies play a significant role in the review process.
